Biographical Information:
Maria was raised in Bolivia (South America) and became interested in
magic at an early age. After coming to the U.S. to attend college at The
University of Illinois (Urbana), Maria became involved in the local magic
scene as the only woman magician in the area. Maria is one of a small group
of women to have graduated from the Chavez School of Magic under Neil Foster. She is currently a member of both the
SAM and IBM having been president of IBM Ring 236. She has performed at conventions
all over the country and is currently performing weekly at Roskoe's in La Porte
IN. Maria has won several magic contests including Abbott's Close-Up and The
Midwest Magic Jubilee. Maria is married to magician Michael Powers and now resides with
him in La Porte Indiana.
